- Koolis süüakse tihtipeale oma einet. Paljudes koolides pakutakse tasulist lõunasööki.
- Algkooliõpilaste koolipäev algab iga päev umbes kell 9 ja lõpeb umbes kell 15. Lõunavaheaeg kestab üldiselt tunni.
- Paljud õpilased sõidavad kooli kollase koolibussiga. Koolis korraldatakse palju huvialaringe ja muud tegevust.
- Õpilastel koolivormi ei ole. Nad kannavad tavalisi rõivaid. Koolil on oma spordivõistkonnad, neil on oma tunnusvärvid.
- Õpilased kannavad üldiselt koolivormi (school uniform). Igal koolil on oma värvid.
- Koolides pakutakse tasulist külma või sooja lõunasööki. Osa õpilasi võtab kooli kaasa oma eine.
